Moving is already a lot. The last thing you need is to land on a website and still not know what you are actually signing up for. This FAQ page exists so that by the time you finish reading it, every question you walked in with is answered, every number is explained, and the only thing left to do is book your totes and get on with your move.
Below you will find straight answers to the questions real movers across Strathmore, Langdon, Chestermere, Carseland, Drumheller, High River, and the surrounding Rocky View and Wheatland County communities ask before they book a moving tote rental. How many totes you actually need. How delivery and pickup work from the moment you place your order to the moment we collect the last tote from your new address. What everything costs with nothing hidden. And exactly what is included when you rent from Stack N Go Totes, totes, dollies, laundry bags, and everything in between.
No vague answers. No fine print designed to surprise you later. Just the information you need to move forward with confidence.
If your question is not answered here, reach out directly at hello@stackngototes.ca and you will get a real answer fast.
Not sure if renting totes makes sense for your specific move? Start here. This section answers the questions every first-time renter asks before they commit, how many totes you actually need, what size they are, whether we handle offices as well as homes, and how renting compares to the cardboard box chaos you are probably trying to avoid.
You do not have to guess. Stack N Go Totes has a built-in calculator right on the website. Enter the number of bedrooms in your home and it will tell you exactly how many totes we recommend for your move. You know your own stuff better than any calculator does though, so if you pack heavy, have a lot of storage room items, or just want breathing room, order a few more than the calculator suggests. It is always better to have one extra tote sitting empty than to run out mid-pack. The minimum order is 15 totes, and you can order up to 100 totes in a single order directly on the site. If your move is bigger than that, reach out to us directly at hello@stackngototes.ca and we will sort it out.
Yes, and here is why. Cardboard boxes cost money to buy, take time to hunt down, collapse under weight, fall apart in a truck, and then you are stuck breaking them down and hauling them to recycling after an already exhausting move. Stack N Go Totes delivers clean, sturdy, hot pink totes right to your door before your move, and picks them up from your new address when you are done. No building boxes. No taping. No trips to the bin. No mess left behind. The totes stack perfectly, protect your belongings better than cardboard ever will, and the whole process is done for you from start to finish. That is what No Boxes. No Mess. No Stress. actually means in real life.
Yes. Stack N Go Totes carries a big inventory of totes, which covers everything from a small apartment all the way up to a large family home or a full office relocation. If your move is on the larger side, use the calculator as your starting point and then add from there. Our totes are genuinely big. Each one measures 27 inches long, 13 inches wide, and 18 inches high, which means more fits in each tote than most people expect. You can pack a full load of kitchen items, books, clothing, or linens in a single tote without running out of room. If you want to talk through your specific situation before booking, reach out at hello@stackngototes.ca and we will help you figure out the right number before you commit.
Both. Stack N Go Totes serves home moves and office or commercial moves across Strathmore, Langdon, Chestermere, Carseland, Drumheller, High River, and the surrounding Rocky View and Wheatland County communities. The process is the same whether you are moving a two-bedroom apartment or an entire office. We deliver the totes, you pack at your own pace, and we pick them up when you are done. If you have specific questions about a larger commercial move, reach out directly and we will walk through the details with you.
Each Stack N Go Totes moving tote measures 27 inches long, 13 inches wide, and 18 inches high. That is significantly larger than a standard cardboard moving box. Books, kitchen items, clothing, linens, toys, files, office supplies, and most everyday household items fit comfortably inside. The totes are not designed for large furniture, mirrors, or oversized items, but for everything else they are built to handle a real move without falling apart halfway through. Every tote arrives clean, sturdy, and ready to pack the moment it lands at your door.View available packages to get started.
Booked and wondering what happens next? This section walks you through everything from the moment your order is confirmed to the moment your totes are picked up from your new address. What to expect, what you need to do, what happens if life throws a curveball, and how to make sure moving day goes exactly the way you planned it.
The moment you submit your order on the Stack N Go Totes website, we review it and confirm that your equipment is available for your requested dates. If everything is good to go, you will receive a confirmation email outlining your order details and your next steps. If for any reason your requested equipment is not available, we will let you know right away. Submitting an order does not automatically guarantee availability, which is why we encourage you to book as early as possible, especially around busy moving seasons. Once that confirmation email lands in your inbox, you are officially in the system and ready for the next step.
Two things need to happen within 7 days of placing your order, and both matter. First, you need to pay your refundable damage deposit of $200 by credit card through Stripe. Second, you need to select your confirmed delivery date and time from the available windows we provide. Both of these steps must be completed within that 7 day window. If either one is missing when that window closes, your booking could be cancelled at our discretion. Once both are done you are fully locked in, and we will take it from there. You will receive a reminder by both email and text approximately 24 hours before your scheduled delivery window so you are never caught off guard.
This is important to plan for before your delivery day, not after. Stack N Go Totes operates within a confirmed one hour delivery window, and an authorized adult needs to be present at your address during that entire window to accept the equipment. If no one is there when we arrive, the delivery will be treated as a failed attempt. A redelivery fee may apply, and your rental period will still be counted as having started at the originally scheduled delivery time regardless of whether the totes actually made it into your hands. We send a reminder 24 hours ahead by both email and text so you have time to make arrangements. If you know your work schedule is unpredictable, plan ahead and designate someone to be there.
Yes, absolutely. You do not have to be the one to answer the door. Any authorized adult at your confirmed delivery address can accept the equipment on your behalf. Just make sure whoever is there knows to be present for the full one hour delivery window and is ready to receive the totes. The key is that someone responsible and over the age of majority is physically there when we arrive. If nobody is home at all during the window, the same missed delivery rules apply regardless of whose name is on the order.
It happens, and we get it. Life does not always move on schedule. If you need to extend your rental period beyond your original 14 days, you need to contact us before your current rental period ends, not after. Extensions are accommodated at our discretion and subject to equipment availability, since your totes may already be reserved for another customer. If an extension is approved, additional rental fees will apply for the extra time. The earlier you reach out the better your chances of getting the extra days you need. Do not wait until the last minute and do not just hold onto the totes without contacting us first, as overdue equipment fees kick in automatically once your rental period expires.
No vague answers here. This section breaks down every number you need to know before you book, your rental fee, delivery fees, the damage deposit, cancellation terms, and what happens if something gets damaged during your move. Every fee is explained. Every question is answered. No surprises waiting for you at the end.
Your rental fee is paid at checkout and covers your full 14 day rental period. If you are in Strathmore, delivery is free. If you are outside Strathmore, a delivery fee applies each way based on your location, because we are driving to your door and back so you never have to leave yours. Every fee is published on the Packages page before you enter your payment information. You will also pay a fully refundable $200 damage deposit by credit card before your delivery is confirmed. That comes straight back to your card when everything is returned clean and on time. What you see before checkout is exactly what you pay.
Life happens and we understand that completely. Here is exactly where you stand depending on when you reach out.
Cancel more than 48 hours before your scheduled delivery and you receive a full refund minus a 5 percent administrative fee that covers the work already done on your order.
Cancel within 48 hours of your scheduled delivery and your full payment minus that same 5 percent fee becomes a store credit you can use toward any future rental. No cash refund at that stage, but your money stays with you and works for your next move.
Cancel after your equipment has already been delivered and the full rental fee stands. The totes are in your hands at that point and the rental has begun.
If you need to shift your dates rather than cancel entirely, reach out immediately. Same length rental, different dates, no extra charge subject to availability. The sooner you call the more we can do for you.
Yes. You are getting it back.
The damage deposit is $200, paid by credit card before your delivery is scheduled. The moment your totes come back clean and on time, that $200 goes straight back to the card you paid with. No waiting, no chasing, no fighting for your own money.
The deposit exists because the totes belong to the next family who books after you. Keeping them in perfect condition for every single customer means every renter, including you, always gets clean, sturdy, ready to use equipment at their door. That is the standard you deserve and it is the standard the next person deserves too. Take care of the totes, return them on time, and your deposit comes back to you in full. It is that simple.
See exactly what is included in your rental before you book.
This is the one answer you want to read before your move starts, not after.
From the moment your totes arrive until the moment they are back in our hands, they are in your care. Normal wear is expected and covered. Damage beyond that is not.
If a tote is damaged the replacement fee is $125 per tote. A dolly is $150. A laundry bag is $20. These fees exist because every piece of equipment has to be ready for the next family the moment yours is done with it.
Here is the protection built in for you: if anything arrives damaged when we deliver, you have 24 hours to let us know and we will replace it at no charge. That window exists entirely for your protection so use it. Inspect your totes the moment they arrive and contact us immediately if anything is not right.
The $200 damage deposit covers minor issues. If damage costs exceed that amount the remaining balance is charged to the card on file. This is not fine print. It is exactly how a fair rental works and you deserve to know it before you pack your first box.
No. Every single fee Stack N Go Totes charges is on the website before you commit to anything.
Rental fees, delivery fees, the damage deposit, replacement fees, cleaning fees, and cancellation terms are all published and explained clearly before checkout. Nothing is hidden. Nothing appears at the end to catch you off guard.
The only fees that could ever appear after your rental begins are ones tied directly to what happens during your rental. A $2 per piece cleaning fee if equipment comes back with excessive dirt or debris. A replacement fee if something is lost or damaged. An overdue fee if equipment is not returned on time. Every one of those is avoidable. Treat the equipment well, return it on time, and your final cost is exactly what you agreed to the day you booked.
No surprises. Ever. That is a promise.
Wondering if Stack N Go Totes delivers to your town? Curious about laundry bags or what else you can add to your order? This section covers our full service area including Strathmore, Langdon, Chestermere, Carseland, Drumheller, High River, and the surrounding communities, plus everything available to make your move easier from the moment you book to the moment you unpack your last box.
Stack N Go Totes delivers across Strathmore, Langdon, Chestermere, Carseland, Drumheller, High River, and the surrounding Rocky View and Wheatland County communities. If you are in or around any of those areas, you are covered. Strathmore customers get free delivery straight to their door. Customers outside Strathmore pay a delivery fee based on their zone, because someone is loading up a van and driving to your address so you never have to figure out how to haul 30 totes in your own vehicle. Check the Delivery Zones page to confirm your zone and your exact delivery fee before you book. If your town is not listed and you are not sure whether we come to you, reach out at hello@stackngototes.ca and we will give you a straight answer fast.
Yes. Stack N Go Totes serves both Drumheller and High River. These communities are part of our outer delivery zone, which means a delivery fee applies each way to cover the distance our driver travels to bring your totes directly to your door and collect them again when your move is done. You do not have to drive into the city, you do not have to borrow a truck, and you do not have to figure out box pickup and drop off on top of everything else a move already demands. Check the Packages page for the exact delivery fee that applies to your area before you book so there are no surprises at checkout.
Not necessarily. Stack N Go Totes may at its discretion provide service to locations within 100 kilometres of Strathmore, Alberta. If you are on the edge of our standard delivery area or just outside it, the best move is to reach out directly at hello@stackngototes.ca before you book. Tell us your address and we will tell you honestly whether we can get to you, what it would cost, and what your options are. We would rather have that conversation with you upfront than have you find out at checkout that your address does not qualify. Reach out first and we will figure it out together.
Yes, and this is one of the smartest things you can do to make moving day easier on yourself. Stack N Go Totes laundry bags are large, waterproof, commercial grade bags designed to handle your linens, bedding, pillows, and clothes in one easy load. Wake up on moving day, stuff your bedding in the bag, and when you get to your new place everything is right there ready to unpack. No separate trips, no garbage bags splitting open in the truck, no hunting down your sheets at midnight in a pile of boxes.
Laundry bags rent for $4 per bag per rental. We recommend one bag per bedroom as a starting point. If you pack heavy or want extra room, add another. Bags are added to your order at checkout as an optional add-on subject to availability. If a laundry bag is lost or not returned the replacement fee is $20 per bag. Other than that, same rules apply as your totes. Take care of them and return them clean and you will never pay more than the $4 rental fee.
Right now Stack N Go Totes offers totes, dollies, and laundry bags as rentable equipment. That covers the core of what every move actually needs. Dollies are available to add to your order so you are not carrying heavy totes by hand across your floors and down your stairs. Laundry bags handle your soft goods so your bedding is never the last thing you dig out of a pile. Totes handle everything else.
As Stack N Go Totes grows, additional add-ons will be introduced to make your move even easier. Check the Product and Packages page for the most current list of available add-ons at the time of your booking.
